Principals

John B. Monsky, Founder, Chairman of the Board and President 

John received his B.A. Degree from Yale University and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. His background and experience includes serving as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of a holding company listed on the American Stock Exchange. Under his direction, the company successfully acquired and operated a number of subsidiaries participating in capital goods manufacturing, real estate development and venture capital financing. In 1983 John founded the predecessor company to First Florida Capital Corporation to actively participate as a consultant and intermediary in merger and acquisition activities. 

Robert Monsky, Partner
Robert joined the firm in 1995. He has participated in numerous transactions encompassing debt, equity mergers and acquisitions and creative hedging strategies on behalf of clients and the firm.  Robert served as a Managing Director of Sandler O’Neill & Partners in New York City. He was principally involved in advising financial institutions on market-driven asset/liability transactions. Robert started his career in a similar role as an Associate Director of the Financial Services Group of Bear Stearns & Co. in New York City.
